13. Policy FDA(LOCAL) Admissions Interdistrict Transfers (Action Required) Description: Texas Education Code §34.007 requires a district operating transportation outside its boundaries for transfer students, without an interlocal agreement, to maintain a Board-adopted policy prohibiting the screening of transfer applicants based on academic performance, disciplinary history, or attendance records. The proposed revision to FDA(LOCAL) aligns District policy with this requirement while retaining consideration of space, staffing, programs, services, and other lawful criteria. Sunray Collegiate ISD’s District of Innovation Plan provides an exemption from TEC §25.036, allowing the District to revoke a student’s transfer status during the school year.
