The Sheriff’s Office has identified eligible law enforcement equipment needs that may be funded with the remaining grant balance. Solution: Approve a budget amendment transferring up to $110,858.05 from the available Payroll Cost and associated fringe benefit accounts to Capital Outlay to allow the Sheriff’s Office to purchase eligible equipment in accordance with grant guidelines and County procurement requirements. Result: Approval will allow Webb County to maximize the use of available SB Rural Law Enforcement Salary Assistance Grant funds for eligible law enforcement equipment while remaining within the existing grant award.
